1、 Basic Definition
Acrylic (PMMA), also known as methyl methacrylate, is a high molecular weight organic material polymerized from methyl methacrylate (MMA). Due to its excellent transparency, plasticity, and weather resistance, it is widely used in fields such as construction, advertising, and furniture.
2、 Core Features
Optical performance
The light transmittance is over 92%, close to the transparency of glass, with soft light and high color reproduction, especially suitable for making lightboxes, decorations, etc.
Diversified visual effects can be achieved through dyeing or adding milky white effects, such as semi transparent gradients, halo diffusion, etc.
Physical performance
The density is 1.19kg/dm ³, only half of glass, lightweight and not easily breakable.
High surface hardness (Rockwell hardness up to 90 degrees), wear resistance close to aluminum, high temperature resistance and strong stability.
Excellent weather resistance, able to withstand UV rays and wind and rain erosion for a long time, suitable for outdoor scenes.
Processing performance
Supports thermoforming (compression molding, blow molding, vacuum forming), mechanical processing (cutting, drilling), and laser engraving, capable of accurately producing complex shapes.
Hot bending technology can achieve curved surface shapes (such as spirals and waves), and high-quality boards can maintain optical purity, avoiding orange peel or white haze problems.
3、 Production process
Casting type
Higher transparency and hardness, suitable for customized products with high precision requirements, such as display stands and artworks.
Squeezing type
High production efficiency and low cost, commonly used for mass production of signs, light boxes, etc.
Innovative technology
Laser engraving: capable of deeply engraving complex patterns, suitable for personalized customization (such as ornaments, jewelry).
Integrated molding: The maximum size of a single board can reach 3 meters by 11 meters, avoiding light breakage caused by splicing
